By Julie Kirby I had just finished a heavy going thrilling, suspense book, and my go-to author is E L Todd, I always get my equilibrium back with the Forever and Ever series.It helps that I love these characters intensely and love catching up with their antics.Love this installment, with all of them growing into their relationships, they have each had some bumps and I don't think they will disappear all at once.I loved Trinity's Batchelorette Party in Vegas, so sweet the boys went, very reminiscent of Sean and Scarlet's parties...Clemy finally realises that she had everything she needed in Ward, He as a determined chap and I'm really happy for them both.Skye and Carson, so sweet, loved that she called Carson's bluff what with him being anally retentive!!!Just can't help but love Slade and his crazy antics - Oh my the Lamborghini - needed that giggle.Conrad and Lexie, Hmmmm, they are overdue with having The Conversation, both have feelings but so vehemently denying them.Glad Roland feels comfortable in himself, so long overdue really happy for him and Heath.Its going swimmingly, can't wait to see how things develop. Also Theo and Thomas need to make a reappearance, ave missed them both.

Omg Slade By Melissa Dawn Slade planned the sweetest bachelorette party Trinity it was nice to see how much he truly did love her the game of truth truth and Dare was hilarious to read about I can't believe Slade and Cayson kissed. And what in the heck was Slade thinking about when s*** on someone's car, I thought trinity will be mad at him but she wasn't . I'm so glad that it Clementine and Ward are working on their relationship together I want them to work out. I wish that Conrad and Lexie would admit the relationship and how they feel about each other they are so good for each other. I hope Sean and Scarlet don't sell their house and I'm glad that they're excepting Roland and heath I'm really glad that Roland told his whole family and friends about being gay. I never want these books to end I can't wait for the next one

I thought she was being slightly childish by not forgiving him. Can't wait to read about Trinity and Slade's wedding. What happened to Theo, Alex and Thomas? They just appeared and disappeared. It's a whole lot to remember in one book. I can't remember certain ones story lines because they don't get enough book time. Would like them to be longer or focus on a few characters in each book instead of all of them at one time. Must say I really enjoyed this one because it flowed so well. When reading one characters point of view it explained other characters story lines. Waiting for the next book to come out. Thank you for sharing!!

In the first one, Sacred Space, he shared with us how to find a) the silence we need in order to survive in this crazy world, b) the speech that we need to be able to converse with God, and c) the ear we must cultivate to hear God.In Sacred Grit, he takes us to a training ground for the Christian life. If we’re going to finish well, we must be trained to expect and overcome three things. Like a soldier in on the front lines, we have to face and deal with “sacred fear”. Like an athlete in the arena we have to prepare to withstand “sacred agony”. And like a farmer in the field of life, we have to welcome “sacred sweat” if we are to bear fruit. It is only then that the “sacred grit” we seek and so dearly need to survive the Christian life can see us through to the end, having achieved all that we were meant to accomplish.Participants to a recent trip to Israel were told that if we were to survive the trip, most of which took place in the country’s desert, we had to train quit hard long before we even hopped on the plane to get there. He had to overcome the fear of being in the Middle East, get in the physical condition needed to handle the heat and terrain, including the climbing of mountains and cliffs, and to bring the proper clothing because we would indeed be sweating. John writes, “Your greatest ministry will take place alone, away from the eyes of watchers, and only in the eyes of God who, for all practical purposes, is the One who matters anyway.” If one truly accepts that, he/she is well on their way to significance.The way the world is going today, if there are two things we need – they’re “sacred space” to get our bearings and “sacred grit” to get to our destination. Ken B. The gold & silver has played out & most of the people have moved on leaving a mostly male population. Evan Taft is the 26 year old sheriff who along with his bounty hunter friend Thaddeus McIntyre keep the peace in town. One night as all the fellows are gathered in the saloon discussing the fate of Echo Canyon, Jerry who traveled to Dawson, Montana to purchase a horse from Joe Dwyer (he's a well-known horse breeder & rancher & mayor from "Montana Mail Order Brides") during a conversation with Joe learns about Dawson's successful mail-order bride experiment & Jerry suggests that Evan should put an ad in the newspapers in larger cities requesting a bride. If this works it will be the beginning of acquiring a new population for Echo Canyon. Josephine Bainbridge answers the ad & travels to Echo Canyon to meet Evan & see if they are compatible enough for marriage.From there the reader becomes acquainted with the different people of Echo Canyon, some sweet & funny like Aunt Edna & some dark & mysterious like Marvin Earnest.So begins another enjoyable journey into a small Montana town pulling the reader into what seems to be another page turning series of the old west. If you desire a good clean read set in 1800's old west you will love this beginning book.

22 of 26 people found the following review helpful. Disappointed By Cindy B The book is marketed as a historical romance but there was just to much modernization. I kept being distracted from the plot by something that could not occur in that time frame. Such as ladies talking about "sex" (even using the word) to the bride. That was not a word they would have used, or the manner they discussed it. Nor would the Aunt's requirement for the single men to remove their shirts before entering their house so she could ogle them. The men sitting down to eat shirtless with not only the Aunt present but the single heroine. This was an era of proprietary and the importance of reputation. This would be inappropriate behavior today.The newly engaged heroine also met the villain for lunch at his home alone. The lunch conversational topic was about an affair the villain engaged in, resulting in an unwanted pregnancy and abortion. This was something women and men did not discuss.There were many other situations and it is a shame because the book was suspenseful and there were several characters I liked and would enjoy following but this issue just overwhelmed me.

This is another amazing book from Linda Bridey, book 1 of her new Series “Echo Canyon”. The Story of Sheriff Evan and Josie (She comes to Evan as a mail order bride) and Aunt Edna. This book is full of good and evil people. The good outweighs the evil. There is a surprising additional to the town’s evil that the town doesn’t know about yet. Evan has a lot of amazing friends that also becomes great friends to Josie. This little town needs to grow and with Evan and Josie I know it will. Can’t wait for Book 2 of this Series. A MUST READ BOOK. I couldn't put this book down. Thanks Linda…. Keep them coming.

I've known Angela (from a distance) for years, but had no idea something this spectacular would bloom for the benefit of us all. I'm thankful. I'm writing this review from page 5, where I'm touched by the revelation of God as a father with a mothers heart. That the description that's been missing for me. That and The fact she actually produced this book has inspired me already. If I read no more, I would consider this book valuable. Phillips It is nearing the end of the long-loved and enjoyed Beachwood Bay series as we have Book 7.5 released in Novella format. Unmasked is the type of story that if you have a spare half-hour you can read it in one sitting and it is a story that will have you wrapped up and spun into a whirlwind of love, mystery and romance. The book features Ash Callahan who is the oldest of the Callahan Siblings - they are the ones we have read and seen featured in the latter of Melody Grace's books. He has his own architectural firm and they have just finished a major project which will have them raking in the big bucks. We also catch a glimpse of Emmett who is Britt's older brother from the first round of Beachwood Bay books released. The story starts with Ash headed off to another boring charity masquerade gala, but this time around it will be anything but as outside he meets a girl with a stuck shoe - think Wedding Planner intro with Matthew McCounaghey and Jennifer Lopez . The two later meet in the ball and they have a romance-filled and amazing night , the night though will change their lives forever. What happens when the clock strikes 12 and Cinderella aka Noelle must leave the occasion ? Will this be just a romantic whirlwind one night stand or will Ash and Noelle find each other another time ?This book ends on a major cliffhanger and finishes as the Clock strikes 12 and Noelle disappears off into the moonlight and Ash is well, you'll see.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. thoughts on unmasked By hello-booklover My only complaint this read went too quickly. I want more of Ash and Noelle. I love the concept of forgetting who you are for one night and letting everything go. Being the real you and allowing one person to see it for one day. That is awesome and so is this first part to the series. I was sad how it ended but do hope they see each other again. Noelle and Ash are two people stuck in positions that neither really want to be in. Too many responsibilities and burdens plague them. Ash has been there since his parents died and Noelle since high school wanting to make her parents proud. Now both are lost in their roles and cannot break out. They meet in the street and instant chemistry but they fight themselves to do what is proper and right. I love watching Ash fight himself. He is a gentleman but is so desiring Noelle. He wants her but can’t be that person until they are on the run from her blind date. Than they make this crazy pact for one night to be together and be who they really want to be and not what their lives are dictating they are. This leads to a sweet date and a sizzling time on the roof. A steamy fun quick read that will have you hoping these two have more together and that they get to step out of their roles in life more. Two fun loving characters that draw you in and don’t let you go and leave you wanting more.

6 of 7 people found the following review helpful. 3 Stars By Paige I've been waiting for Trace and Darby's story since I read the first book about Trace's brother Tristan and Mia in Catch My Fall. I adored that one. It was a sweet love story of friends turned lovers that kept me on the edge of my seat praying that those two would find healing in each other. In that story we are introduced to Trace and Darby as side characters but with a lot of airtime since Darby grew up with the twins and was now Mia's best friend and roommate.Trace had a horrible childhood. He lived with his grandmother who was emotionally abusive. It wasn't until Draby's family moved in next door that things got a little better. They became best friends and finally acted on their mutual attraction when Darby was 16. Afterwords, there's a lot of back and forth because Trace is battling so many demons that he just doesn't think he is worthy of Darby. For her part, Darby never gives up on him, but is eventually worn down enough that she tries to go back to a firmly friends only relationship when Trace's manwhoreish ways get out of control.I wanted to love this one as much as I loved the first but I just couldn't. It was by no means bad at all. It just wasn't what I expected or hoped for. After Catch My Fall ends on a little bit of a shocker (not for the relationship since that was a beautiful HEA, but more of a plot line for future books shocker), I scoured the Internet for any signs of this book. I had to wait a while so I reread CMF just a couple of months ago. Maybe I'm just comparing apples to oranges since the stories are so different but I kept waiting for the story to start while I was reading.While I could sympathize with Trace and Darby, It felt like I was being told what happened to the characters instead of getting to experience their journey along with them. It was told in dual pov from past to present but it felt like they were reading diary entries or something. It reminded me of asking someone who read a book before I did what the book was about and they just told me what happened. Sure I know everything about Trace and Darby, but without any of the emotions of reading it on my own, I felt zero connection with the characters.I also kept waiting for the shocker of the last book to show up and it did but just not until like 70% in. I think that was another thing that kept me from loving is one. Of course the stories are standalones so this one needed all the background info presented first but with the way Trace and Darby retold their childhood, I kept waiting for the story to start and didn't realize that it had.I'm glad I read their story. After loving Catch My Fall I needed the closure and I know many loved this one just as much. So in the end, I think it may be more of a "it's not you, it's me" kind of thing.

By Author K Webster Ella Fox never disappoints and the same was for the second, much anticipated release, in The Catch Series. Everyone loves a strong heroine. There's just something that makes you want to fist pump the air when you read about a gal that's strong--strong enough to help a broken hero through the hardest of times. Darby is an amazingly strong and beautiful soul. She's a perfect match for our broken hero Trace. I loved seeing how their relationship evolved from children to adults. The love was unending and powerful.This story is different than some of Ella's other works. Where this book was less on steam, it spun an incredibly powerful and beautiful tale of unconditional love where two best friend's relationship was tested through the thickest and thinnest of times.I would suggest if you want a friends to lovers romance that gives you all the feels: anger, happiness, sweetness, frustration, sadness, etc, then Catch and Release is the perfect story to sink your teeth into. Grab some tissues and prepare your heart. This story will catch your heart and never release it!

My hubby is a sleeper; sleeps late into the morning and naps every chance he gets. I'm just the opposite. This has always caused a ridge between us. I always believed sleeping was a waste of time. Now I know better. This well written and documented book has given me many new things to consider where sleep is concerned. I won't feel guilty the next time I decide to take a catnap myself. Excellent reading material on all things sleep related and packed with information!

This book gives tips and links for those with sleep disturbance as well as for those who already sleep well. The idea of training oneself to be a better sleeper is intriguing. I'll definitely try some of the suggestion.

Great story By Amazon Customer I've read a story from this series already but didn't know this couples history because it only referred to but OMG, they went through hell. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Percy and Brita come full circle! Finally!!! By AngMG We met Percy and Brita in the first Honeybun Heat novel, Honeybun and Coffee. Alastair and Angie's book. (If you haven't read it yet, go grab yourself the first four! They come in a handy, dandy set!) The perfect mix of lawyer and detective, they worked perfectly together. Until they didn't. Stubborn doesn't quite cover it. Hard headed to the extreme, they can't seem to find a balance in later books and break up. Even though they love each other, Brita can't let go of the fact that she feels Percy won't let her do what she needs to do her job.I thought it was fitting that the first chapter of the last book started off at Alastair and Angie's wedding. Percy had had enough and was going to tell Brita that they are meant to be together. He was going to confront her and put the "break up" to an end. Unfortunately, Brita got scared and did a runner. She packed her bags, organized her parents to dog sit and went to the precinct to talk to her chief about taking some time off.This is where things get real. Real fast. Brita walks in in the middle of a gruesome crime that was being committed. Seemingly one step behind a killer intent on killing everyone , she gets caught up in a diabolical plot.The next thing we know, she wakes up in a warehouse across the street, covered in blood. With no memory of who she is and what she's done. Gah!!!!!Percy tracks her down and with the help of his brothers, gets to work figuring out what the heck just went down.I don't want to give away too many details but I will say this is a non stop action packed ride filled with suspense. The plot thickens with nefarious scientists and before you know it, the Honeybuns are in a race against time to save Brita's life.I loved this book! I loved how each brother was there, doing what they did best to get back their sister in law. Because that is what Brita had been to them all along, she was family in every way except in name. And if there is one thing the Honeybuns do, it's stick together and do everything humanly possible to keep their family safe!Honeybun One and Done is a great end to a fantastic series. I hope Sam Cheever lets us visit with the Honeybuns again sometime, cause I'd love to know what they all get up to in the future.

By DR The Honeybuns in this series are a bunch of brothers who are each unique, but who are all strong, protective and chivalrous. Since the first book in the series we knew Percy and Brita, and they have been important parts of all the stories. She is a cop, he is a lawyer. She doesn't want Percy's chivalry, his protection, because she seems to take it that he doesn't consider she is able to take care of herself and others. Some time back in the series, Percy offended Brita with his he-man stuff, and they broke up. He never accepted it, has done everything he could to get back together, but it hasn't worked. She is very competent and self-reliant, with mad detective skills, and she can't take that he is always trying to protect her. Strangely enough, she has still been an integral part of the family anyway, very involved in the story as each Honeybun brother has found his honey and rescued her from whatever nasty situation she was involved in. To the Honeybun family, Brita is still Percy's honey, still part of the family.This time, Brita is the one who needs help. She walked in on the aftermath of a murder, then was attacked and lost her memory of who she was. She runs, knowing something is wrong, but Percy finds her and the family closes around her to help. Even without her memories, she is not one to let these men take the lead, but ultimately, she has to accept their help.Without telling too much more of the story, there is a lot of action, investigation, there are evil scientist, a horrible plot, fighting against hopeless odds, and a happy ending.I loved the characters, each brother is so different, but Percy is special. The other honeys only show up in the story just a little bit, and I wish we saw them interact with their Honeybun heroes more. Brita is a great character, really smart and strong. I never really understood her extreme negative reaction to being taken care of, which is central to this plot. Buy, given that is her reaction to he-man Percy, her behavior flows well.I really enjoyed this story.I received and ARC copy of this book and this is an honest review

They both have issues they need to work through. The length of the book was awesome. I love long books that doesn't have unnecessary information, this book was well worth it. Full of drama. Can't wait for book two!

Lincoln came off as an alpha male at first, but in the end appeared weak. At the end of the book, did not know which male I wanted to win. Looking forward to seeing which one comes out on top.

He doesn't deserve Gabriella. She deserves better than Lincoln, Shane and Michael. She deserves her Happy Ending. Hope to read part two very soon.

"The Root of the Righteous remains one of my favorite books by A.W. Tozer. (I've reviewed 22 Tozer books to give you some perspective.)

Why do I keep reading Tozer? Why would I recommend him to others? Because I find that even though these sermons were preached decades ago, his messages remain relevant. He has a fiery way of speaking--or writing. He's zealous for the Lord and for the things of the Lord. He's not timid in issuing challenges to believers. His love for God is evident in every book of his that I've ever read. And that love for God is matched for his love of the truth as revealed in the Word of God. There is nothing casual about how Tozer treats the Bible or the God that Bible reveals. His books urge readers--believers--to take God seriously, to pick up the Word of God for themselves, to trust and obey. Tozer reminds his readers that how they live matters, and they need to be growing in knowledge and holiness.

I would describe Tozer as a devotional theologian. That is, his writings may read like a devotional, but, they have great depth and substance.

What does a Christian life look like? How should we live as Christians in this world? How should we spend our time? What should matter to us? The Root of the Righteous addresses how believers should live their lives. Many, many subjects are covered within these 46 chapters.

Tozer challenges believers in their complacency, in their laziness. Seek God, seek more of Him always, grow in your faith, don't be satisfied to remain where you are, never settle! Take God seriously! Live your creed--as if you actually believe what you say you do.

I found the interpretations to be good and similar to my own. If you've never read Thomas before, at least read this interpretation to get a better understanding and maybe an interest in Thomas.

By Darren Ackers I’ve now finished The Gospel of Thomas and found the authors interpretation of what Jesus said very interesting. I do like a book that is not too long and therefore is an easy read and is not full of fluffy sentences. That said, this book does to the get the point well.

By Cindy O I’ve love and can’t get enough of this author’s darker series and Stars Landing was the only series I hadn’t read of hers. It’s more on the lighter side and mostly is centered around the small town in PA and its close nit residence. Some of the books are more serious and others plenty of humor with each having some suspense in them. The characters all cross over into each of the books so we get to continue to see how a previous couple is doing even after their book.Eric O’Reilly is Stars Landing only mechanic. He is also a man ho with quite the reputation in the town. He’s still stinging a bit about losing out with Annabelle (previous book). Eric also has quite the panty melting vocabulary to go along with his sexy looks.Lena Edwards works for Elliot Michaels (from first book) who sends her to Stars Landing to scope out the town’s only Inn because he wants to purchase it as a surprise for his wife. She’s not happy with having to be basically a spy but hopes that by doing this for her boss she will get a promotion out of it. What she didn’t expect was to actually like the town’s residence and to come upon the radar of Eric when her car breaks down. Eric is ruthless (in a sexy way) in his pursuit of Lena.When the book starts out Lena thought she always knew what she wanted to do with her life but Eric and the town has her starting to question what she really wants.Eric was hot – no doubt about it – and I loved how he wooed Lena to get her into his bed. She wasn’t the only that had a change though during the book. Eric, after getting his heart broken finally comes to realize that maybe he doesn’t want to be the town’s lothario anymore and wants to find that one special woman just for him. Lena certainly gives him a run for his money.

By Teresa T There is only one thing wrong with Jessica Gadziala's "Stars Landing" series. They are not all written yet........ I am nuts about this series. Each book is a standalone, btw. Even tho they all tie together in the town of Stars Landing, each book is easily read on it's own merit. This one is Eric and Lena's story. Lena is sent to Stars Landing by her boss, Elliott Michaels(from book 1) to look into the local Inn, which is for sale. Lena is a pretty uptight woman who has pulled herself up by her proverbial bootstraps to become a successful PA. She has high hopes of being promoted within the company. Eric is the local mechanic, he is also the local ladies man(aka bad boy). The sparks fly when he makes moves on Lena. She is spot on when it comes to putting him in his place. Still, an attraction develops. Enough of that... Let me say that I would not turn down any opportunity to read anything Jessica writes. Ok, maybe not a kiddie book.. ;) Go get her books, you won't be sorry..

In What The Heart Finds, Eric gets his very own story! Eric finally finds the woman of his dreams in Lena, and finds he's happy enough to finally settle down, give up his manwhoring ways, and completely commit to one woman. I loved this story so much. Our real world would be a lot better place with more Erics in it.
