It hits at the root of the cause rather than trying to cover up the symptoms, and then offers a way out. Adapting the 12 step program to LDS beliefs and using the author's own experiences with his addictions, you receive a well-thought out plan on how to deal with these difficult issues.

It was superb in helping an addict to understand how the atonement can heal anyone, especially those who are caught in addiction. I highly recommend this to anyone. It is written to an LDS audience, but anyone can benefit greatly from reading it and following its recommendations.

THE BOOK for anyone with a pornography addiction and/or ANYONE WITH A PARALIZING STRUGGLE OF ANY KIND. Very tastefully written and non-offensive to those without pornography issues. I also highly recommend it to those struggling with same sex attractions. A go to reference for guidance, realignment...and peace. Definately in my top 10 "books for negotiating life."

I was looking for the third book and found this information. Did she write this series before she passed? This book does not seem like the end to this series. I was also wondering if someone else is writing under her name. I really did enjoy this book Lots of suspense along with a very good love story. Good one, but not your typical romance novel. I hope someone will comment on this that maybe knows more about this. .

By HR The Tylers face trouble from several directions and complex personal interactions with purpose, care, and loyalty to their heritage. lt is an interesting journey and I cannot wait for the sequel since there are several situations left unfinished. A fun book to keep one comfortably engaged from beginning to end.

Barbie has a soft, yetfirm way of sharing the truth about things that may be hindering your walk. There is no doubt that this book is God inspired and will help many people. Excellent, well-researched, Bible-based book By Monica E Youngblood Leland Watson uses easy to understand language to make it very clear how God expects us to worship by referring to His Word. You can tell the author is passionate about doing things God's way and has done his research. My 10 year old daughter was even fascinated by the correlation between the Old Testament tabernacle and our own worship.What better way than to use God's own Word to know how to worship Him in spirit and truth.

Love the story, hate the matketing By Janet Patterson I am thouroughly enjoying the story but it annoys the ever-loving @#$%^& out of me that it is only being releaased in bits and pieces. This could easily be an entire novel. Is this some kind of marketing gimmick? I hate to get into a good story and be left hanging!

The magpie masquerade is a series which started strong and generally keeps to its Regency character, in that it keeps true to the language and the cultural mores. However, sometimes the author slips in early twentieth century lingo such as - dear chap. I could be wrong, but I think "chap" came later in prevailing use, even though its origins are older than the Regency. But, that's just me quibbling, needlessly and likely erroneously.I suppose I am feeling a bit passive aggressive because I now have to WAIT for the next two volumes to finish this serial. Sometimes I feel like I'm always waiting for some or another author to finish a book so I can read the next stage of the story which they cleverly hooked me into with their first book. I've already given up on Game of Thrones and Obernewtyn and made myself accept that some authors just roll that way, and since the are carrying on, I should move on too -- away from them!That said, this series has been, so far, engrossing yet lighthearted and fun to read. There is the social whirl of the Ton, Almacks, Venetian Breakfasts, lascivious aristocrats, rakehells, innocent blondes, perfect beauties, gentlemen's clubs, gossipy women and a cantankerous dowager. In other words all the population of a Regency novel. There is also mystery - about Marjorie's parents, Sir Styne and his dealings, the mystery woman Cap. Hazelton is in love with. Also, questions/conjectures about how the Magpie's career will end and what kind of future Lord Drake will choose. I am looking forward to the next two which will, I hope, end the series satisfactorily. I hope the author will answer all questions and tie up all loose ends. I WILL wait as long as the series ends fully answering all questions. I suppose since the author appears to do monthly uploads, we will wait until July for the sixth volume. That's certainly better than a yearly wait, and manifestly better than ten years.

Banning This, as the other installments, is full of entertaining adventures, witty conversation and a love story that leaves one wanting more. Marjorie is more of a servant than a member of society. She is judged unacceptable by the ton. He is an Earl. But he is drawn to her, and she cannot stay away from him any easier. She has too many secrets and her Aunt will stop at nothing to keep Marjorie in her place. I cannot put down this story. I wish there were more, but I eagerly await the next part of Marjorie's struggle. Very well done by the author!

About the Author Sarah McLean is a two-time breast cancer survivor dedicated to the emotional and spiritual restoration of survivors as well as their families. She lives in Oklahoma City with her husband, Steve, and their two children, Colin and Tatum.

Rare because, for all its power, it’s as if the woman it belongs to doesn’t fully realize how strong she is. This isn’t to suggest she lacks for confidence or authority, or that she’s in any way naïve to how empowered she really is—far from it, as her own words make clear. It’s just that the kind of vulnerability it must take to share _this_ story _this_ way completely undercuts any shred of pretension or self-interestedness (faults all too common in memoir and autobiography).Pink is the New Black is the opposite of self-indulgent. It’s a book about her experiences, no doubt, but it reads like it’s written for everyone else: other cancer patients and survivors, their friends and families, the healthcare and support communities, and people of faith—and doubt—everywhere. As a husband and father myself, I’m humbled by her deep concern for the havoc battling cancer can wreak on spouses and families, and I especially value the implicit lessons she gives to those burdened with the task of supporting loved ones struggling with life-threatening illnesses. The scene near the book’s end, of her young family caring for her after surgery, is moving beyond words. It’s an astounding picture of love, and faith, and grace making beauty from ashes, a challenge to the rest of us and a source of hope for what’s possible.I can’t claim the same degree of strength you’ll find in Pink is the New Black, strength of faith, of will, of identity, or of selflessness. By Meagan This wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend lets us in, in one of the most intimate ways, to have an understanding of breast cancer; it's battle, suffering and triumph! This young woman tells her story in a way that is captivating!!! You feel heartache, joy, sorrow, encouraged, but most of all you experience her belief in Christ's plan for her life, her strength and resilience, her trust.To be diagnosed with any cancer is life changing, and Sarah allows us to absorb the impact, from the patient's side, with such vulnerability and candid truth. Covering all aspects of being diagnosed...OH BUT WAIT...that was just the FIRST TIME!!! She goes on to tell us of a SECOND BATTLE with breast cancer! Seriously, Lord, I have to ask "why"!!! Yet, her faith grows stronger and we get to read one of the most brilliant, empowering autobiography's.Thank you, Sarah and Steve, for allowing us a front row seat!

Sarah is boldly transparent about the physical and emotional effects of breast cancer. I have never had physical cancer, but I could still relate to her story. Like Sarah, I had some wrong beliefs, and Jesus has been (and still is) transforming my thinking about who He is and who He made me to be, praise Him! I am beginning to know and understand His great love for me and how much Jesus desires relationship with me over any of my activities. While there are parts of the book that are specific to Sarah's breast cancer story, there was so much that God was doing in her heart that spoke directly to me and affirms the healing work Jesus is performing in my own life to cleanse the spiritual cancer from me. Thank You, Lord God, for Sarah, and for the courage and strength You gave her to share her story, to encourage and minister to others, and to shine the glory of Christ through it all.

By Maria Perez Good story but after reading two books in the "series" now need to wait for the release of the next book (s) for the stor conclusion. Will not waste my time waiting .....there are many authors that do not use the gimmic of "several books" to complete the story. Do not recommend ....

The story is exciting and with the turning of each page, it leaves you wanting more! I will definitely read more stories by Audrey Tolhouse! Such a talented writer!

Words spelled wrong, words repeated where they shouldn't have been, etc.Secondly: this was supposed to be about her trying to get her boss, not start having feelings for a whole different guy and making a type of love triangle. However, other than that, good book. Some mistakes, would have liked a little more with her boss and how they magically love each other, but I will for sure read the others in this series!!

That was my one complaint with previous stories--it seemed like there was always one couple that was barely mentioned. But all 4 couples were involved in this book, which was nice to see.Mandy and James are my favorite, so I was glad that we still got to catch up with them! It was also really nice to see Sophie and Grady's relationship progress. It looks like Emma and Finn may be the focus of the next book, and I am excited to see where their story goes.The mystery was great! I was definitely surprised by the culprit, and I really enjoyed the twist! Can't wait to read the next book!

I like the addition of Sophie's dad getting involved with the brothers...cool twist!

The characters are amazing and the chemistry between James and Mandy is off the charts. This is mostly Grady and Sophie's story, but involves the whole Hardy family, as usual. Please start with the first book in the series to fully appreciate the ensuing stories. Every book is a five star.

I never got to go to the "parties" but I can relate to all that they did. Good times and great friends. Music is so much a part of my life and when you are in the "band" no matter what band you will always have a family. Great book. Thanks Jim for writing this.

If you've read the others already, you'll probably want to read this one regardless- if you haven't, start with book one or nothing will make sense. Review of the the entire series is below.Full disclosure - I received ARCs for honest review of Books 1 & 4.Tara Crescent mostly writes kinky romance, and does it very well. That is pretty much what the Assasin's Revenge series is- it's romance with some action, not action with some romance. If you want non-stop explosions & chases, this is not the droid you're looking for- but then you've probably guessed that from the cover. There are flashbacks to Ellie's kidnap, abuse & rape throughout the series, so don't read it if that will be a problem for you. This series has perhaps a bit less kink than her books normally have- a few scenes in each book, and none in the first (unless you count those flashbacks, which I certainly don't). Book one is also much shorter than the others- about half the length, in fact- it's more a long prologue than anything else. The books follow on one from the next - books one & two end with at least moderate cliffhangers, book three on a downbeat note with much unresolved until you read book four. From the very first to its end... all my senses was engaged. Tara can almost make a girl enjoy cliff hangers.. lol um not. But I can deal with them when its wrapped up in a great story.They say Revenge is best served cold... meet Jenny, or Ellie... she has had years in prep for this. She has endured unspeakable pain and hurt. Now with her plans so close to the end, she has learned to feel again. Alexander... ahhh what lies we tell to get the result we want. He works for a man he hates, but he is on a mission. He bid for a slave to fit his way of life... or so he thinks. He cant afford to love or to hang around too long, so a three month period works for him. When he won the bid on a woman that he knows from a couple of years ago. There just may be a ripple in his life he isn't ready for. They both hold secrets and tell lies...Awesome addition to a intense and amazing series of books. The main players so real you can almost feel their emotions. The story line and scenes mesh well with a balance of both, that keeps the story going smoothly. I liked how the BDSM scenes were wrote you can tell there was thought behind them.I do recommend this series.. start with the first book thought and let Tara take you into a world she has created.. of intrigue, guile, lies, love and passion. This is book 3 of the Assassin's Revenge series and, again, I couldn't put it down.Please note that this book does deal with a great deal of difficult issues including, but not limited to: teenage kidnapping, rape, gang rape, BDSM in both abusive and consensual in nature, and suicide.Things are coming together in Freed as Ellie finally begins to find closure after her kidnapping and 2 years of brutal rapes and abuse. So many surprises, twists and turns pull this towards its end but I have to keep this review simple so I don't give away anything important. This is a fast moving dramatic adventure with plenty of hot and sexy scenes.You must read this series in order, expect a cliff hanger at each end, and expect a few late nights as you may not be able to put it down.I will say, I loved how gentle, patient and understanding Alexander was towards Ellie and all she had been through. His only goal is to help her find the safety and peace she seeks as well as the Revenge he understands she must have, even at the possibility of his own death.Ellie is determined to kill the man who kidnapped her and all of the men who raped her. As her desire to get revenge grows she battles the feelings she has for another and wonders if she will ever be whole enough to trust and love a man.A MUST READ!

Robertson McQuilkin captures so well that which comes to mind when I reflect on the global impact of the life, thinking, and ministry of Robertson. I was a student at Columbia Bible College (now known as Columbia International University) who sat under the teaching of his father Robert C. McQuilkin. I did have one course taught by Robertson in the spring semester of 1951 when he was fresh out of seminary. I have followed his ministry closely ever since with deep appreciation of the evident operation of God’s grace as he walked by faith and obedience being transformed from glory to glory into the image of Christ. God enabled Robertson to have a role of being a statesman in the church and especially in the missionary community due to his consistent insightful thinking based on broad and in depth research of the issue in question. Under the functional authority of the Bible he was innovative in his thinking refusing the pat answers of the time and seeking the balanced center between the biblical tensions that often became an alternate position based on carefully informed application of hermeneutics. When I would discuss some issue with him he had a way of asking questions that would force you to see the key aspect of the matter and to question your presuppositions or your logic. To me he was an encourager. Through CBC/CIU his life, scholarship, teaching and writings has made and will continue to make a global impact. Even if you never heard of Robertson McQuilkin you find this book timely and instructive. I am thankful for this book that outlines so well Robertson’s legacy.

Dr. Schiffman's chapter is excellent and deserves to be a book of its own!

This realistic view captures truth from both religion and “common sense” and molds them into a fast disappearing thing: wisdom. Where factual knowledge is available at the swipe of a screen, wisdom is indeed scarce.If you are a Christian, you will enjoy the melding of Scripture into a thirty-one day reading schedule providing ample time to savor the truth presented. If not so religiously inclined, read it slowly anyway and reflect on the business advise presented. Each chapter could be a topic for a Master’s level business paper.I enjoyed it and completely recommend it to anyone short of time but yearning to gain business wisdom.
