Lacey has done an incredible job with amazing people and they suck you into the book the minute you pick it up. Crossedwhich has a very sexy ex Navy Seal, Hunter who happens to work in the security field, and dabble in a few other skills that he may, may not be able to talk about. Grace is a good woman who has already met her soulmate in life, and lost him in a deadly accident. When one of Hunter's cases leads him to Grace, he asks for her best friend Emma Cross, to introduce them, turns out that Emma also works with Hunter at the Cross Enterprises. Once Grace and Hunter finally meet the sparks and a few other things begin to fly.Layers CrossedNext up is Emma, who we met in the first book, Emma is the youngest out of 3, and has 2 older very protective brothers who basically try to run her life, protect her, all the stuff you would expect from an over protective big brother. Hunter manages to get his friend and very sexy cowboy Eric to come to Cross Enterprises with an old case that needs someone to reopen it and give it another look. Wanting to send their sister out of the city for awhile to calm her down, they send her off with the cowboy, never thinking that in a million years a city girl would fall for the sexy cowboy.(CAUTION WHEN READING THIS BOOK..YOU WILL WANT A COWBOY)Double CrossedIn this book we get a sexy ex Navy Seal & Cowboy rolled into one,( Lacey does an incredible job getting you to drool and swoon over these guys)Derek is Eric's best friend and ex Seal brother, after some of the stuff that goes down in Crossed, Eric asks Derek if he would go out to California to check on his kid sister Annabelle, sure no problem, expect the last time Derek saw her she was barely 13, now he isn't prepared for the feelings he gets when he sees just how much Anna has grown up. Anna has to come for awhile to help with her parents, and Derek offers to let her stay with him, How can she resist him? once again we have some incredible sex scenes, and some skinny dipping. (AFTER READING YOU MAY WANT TO TRY SKINNY DIPPING WITH A EX SEAL/COWBOY)CROSSED OFFThis time we have a sexy billionaire, trying to make his family's business go legit, Cash Wagner pops back up again he was in Crossed, he is Grace's brother, then we have Skylar, a shy and sheltered country girl who escapes to NY to hide herself and hopefully protect herself.

There are lots of steamy scenes, as well as thriller scenes that keep you on the edge of your seat.The prequel Crossed is Hunter and Grace’s story. Grace is always looking for “the One” and Hunter has been too busy to think about finding “the One”. Hunter has spent years trying to take down Grace’s family and finally has what he will need. When their worlds collide, unexpected things happen. What will he do if he has to choose between the family and Grace?Layers Crossed is Eric and Emma’s story- Emma lost her true love in an accident two years ago. Since then, she has been trying to hide her hurt by burying herself in her job at Cross Enterprises (her family’s investigation business) and meeting guys, then tossing them aside. Emma’s family sets her up with a case involving a hansom cowboy, (who is a friend of an employee) hoping to get her out of the city. They had no idea how Emma and Eric would hit it off and how involved they would get in a man hunt that could be deadly for them both.Double Crossed follows Annabelle and Derek – Annabelle was one test away from becoming a nurse when her parents were attacked. They were nearly killed and their home set on fire. She has one month to get things in order, before she has to return and take the test. By Kimberly Okay, I know that the title to my review is punny, but seriously--the Crossed books by Lacey Silks were a true pleasure to read.First off, there are 4 books, or more accurately 3 books and 1 novella, and each one can be read as standalones-although once you start the first one, you simply will want to read the rest as soon as you can! Each book has a central couple that do have a resolution to their storyline, but like most series out there, it's the secondary characters that really make a series like this work: and they are the ones who make you want to come back for more.The reading order is:Crossed (Grace Brooks and Hunter Reeve)Layers Crossed (Eric Waters and Emma Cross)Double Crossed (Annabelle Waters and Derek Fields)Crossed Off (Skyler Waters and Cash Wagner)One of the best things about this series is the fact that she has such massively different locales in each of her books, but because of the world she has created with these characters they all feel the same. From criminal families, cowboys, rekindled flames and betrayed love all combine to produce a world that is so unique that it would be a shame to spoil it for anyone who has not read them yet!If you are looking for a series that is hot, steamy, funny, passionate and all encompassing, I highly recommend The Crossed Series by Lacey Silks. They are totally worth your time.
