By Jane I guess the book has its own charm, but unfortunately for Jaycie and Ethan, I wasn't really in the mood for their story despite the promise this book actually has. This book should actually be right up my alley with a somewhat different heroine and a bit geeky hero who has a heart of gold... but it isn't. I don't actually know whether it's due to the instant attraction Jaycie and Ethan feel for each other from the first moment they meet each other or they way they get very close very soon. I would like some more of the getting to know each other and a bit less of the "(s)he's so hot" parts. :(

Coming off the Love hack series, this was an enexpected surprise because there's more Damon. but better, this was an intense story that hit close to home. watching Jaycee struggle to find balance in her industry, and this is something a lot of women, including me, deal with.the romance was as wonderful as I expect from Ms. Lindt, but this book had another layer that really made me think. loved it, and looking forward to the next.

This book also dealt with a woman's role in a male dominated field and cyber-bullying. It was fast paced and well written. I did not agree with the idea of "don't fight my battles for me", but I am a different generation. I just want the battle fought, and have no need to do it myself if others will. But I recommend this book as a quick, fun read.

I’ve been struggling with anxiety for some time and it’s always great finding a resource that explains a few new things about it and offers new remedies. I found lots of interesting tidbits of information here that I wasn’t aware of before and the recommended treatment for it was interesting to read about. Definitely a great guide that has helped me so much in its effective exploration of this common problem. Two thumbs up.

The author was able to explain myths and misconception of most people when it comes to anxiety. Not just once did I experience people calling me a pessimist and worrywart, when they don’t even know what I’m going through. This book helps me to gradually overcome the feeling of anxiety and there are valuable tips that I found very useful. I know it would not happen overnight but I’m grateful, this book led me to start anew. Highly recommended!

By JoyceyRose I've dealt with anxiety issues on and off through my life and this book is a great find for information and solutions on this subject - ESPECIALLY the chapter on how the author cured his anxiety in 7 steps! I will be reading this book over again for help with the different keys to help overcome my anxiety issues as they happen. I'm glad I can refer to this book on my smartphone whenever I need reminders. My favorite chapter is "Tips On How To Ease Anxiety." Since the author has lived through Anxiety and conquered it, this book carries much credibility and inspires me to take note of what he recommends! I plan on putting his tips into practice so I can benefit from them as well. Highly recommend if you're looking for REAL ANSWERS for anxiety issues!

I still love you guys, I'm just a little disappointed. :( By Amazon Customer Because I fully expect rabid fans to show up at my door with torches any second after I post this, let me start off by putting it out there that I absolutely love Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher. Love them. They are hilarious and quirky and I follow them on Facebook and Instagram and I have gladly paid for all their books and yada, yada, yada.However... I am not so much a fan of the Never Never series, and I really was until last night.I was super excited when part 2 released and I went into it with full knowledge that this was a novella. I sort of paused when I saw the $2.99 price tag..but thought, nah, it'll be worth it.It wasn't.And it's not even the writing, so much, even though Never Never has neither the angsty-Tarryn feel nor the artsy-Colleen feel that I've come to expect from their books. I mean, I really like the idea of the story and I get that the entire point of the novella series is to end on cliffs and make you want to buy the next book.But that's just it. At this point, I don't even want to buy the third and here's why:The pricing on this is pretty ridiculous if you think about it: I read part two in exactly 27 minutes. Not even a half hour. And like I said, I knew it was a novella, fully aware, but half of the freaking book was Silas rediscovering who he is, and who Charlie is, and honestly it just felt regurgitated from part 1. I gleaned a little bit of new information, but the story didn't feel like it moved along at all. I honestly feel like nothing happened and I can stop at this point and be okay and not ever know why they are the way they are. They just are, especially now that I've paid over $6 (with tax) for two novellas.If I do buy part 3, and pay another $2.99, I'll have invested over $10 in a story that, if was one book, would have been worth $5.99 at most.Idk. I guess I feel a little taken advantage of. And I realize I don't know who sets the pricing and I surely don't understand what all goes into the writing and publishing process but I do know my end of it and I read A LOT and am also on a limited budget so I feel like a $10 book written by two prominent authors who are known for writing amazing things should be.. Something other than what we have so far.That's all. Please don't hate me. I still love you guys, I'm just a little disappointed. :(

By hoib Loved the first part...but I agree with the other readers...it is a novella (which I didn't realize) but anyway it only rehashes what we learned in the first book and gives only a sliver of a clue and ends again...I'm annoyed. $.99 would be more realistic. I love where the story is going...but seriously it's getting expensive and I probably won't buy the next book. Not that I don't want to figure out the stupid mystery...because I REALLY want to know...but 30 minutes of reading is not worth $2.99.

By Catherine Talbot After learning this is a "novella" and not a novel, okay I understand why it's so short. But I do wish it were longer. I feel like Part 1 and 2 could've just been one whole book and it would've made more sense to me. We found out nothing new in part 2 really. That was frustrating. They found Charlie but we know just as little as we did about what is going on then we did in the first one. I hope the third book is released soon, I have no idea how they spread these apart, but I just want to finish it and move on with my life.

By romancereader Welcome back to Harland County. Her Healing Cowboy brings us back and introduces us to two great new characters - Holly and Jace. While this is definitely Holly and Jace's story, I really enjoyed how other characters from previous Harland County books make appearances - its nice to see how they're doing! Her Healing Cowboy is a quick read. The dialog flows smoothly and the story is easy to follow. The author tells a fun story of two people who both see their relationship as short-term, and both find themselves shocked when they feel otherwise. Both characters are strong characters and extremely committed to their family obligations and that makes them well suited for each other.There is a good balance of intimacy, seriousness, and laughter in Her Healing Cowboy. I liked that Jace and Holly were "adults" - their actions were mature and the language patterns and dialog were mature. The sex scenes are definitely explicit but I didn't feel they overwhelmed the story. And I found myself laughing out loud at times. Without giving away too much, can I just say "big, strong cowboy with sympathy symptoms" - enough said! In general, the book was well written and did a good job of conveying the characters thoughts and feelings through dialog and prose. One of my favorite passages in the book is:"He only knew he liked looking at her, liked touching her, liked being with her. She made him feel good. Happy. And it had been so long since he'd been happy"This is a nice romantic story of two people who start a "casual" relationship with an end date and both realize they want more. Each struggles with transitioning their relationship and what may have to happen in order for each of them to pursue their dreams - and each other. How they stop - and start again - is a surprising but delightful story twist, and the ultimate solution which enables them to have their "happily ever after" made my heart swell. This is the story of Jace Turner and Holly Phillips. Oh my! This book made me crack up laughing, it's smoking hot and also made me tear up several times. I loved reading about Jace and Holly. It was great to catch up with Cole, Jordan, Connor, Kerri, Kade, Brandi, Kevin, Shayla, Caitlin, and the rest of Harland County. I enjoyed getting to know the other guys in the Guard. And I really hope we'll be getting to read their stories in the future! This is a excellent addition to the Harland County Series. Highly recommend all of Donna Michaels work to all fans of romance, cowboys, and military. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next!

By Debbie Collins Welcome back to Harland County, I never tire of going back, because it means that I not only to get to meet new people, I also get to catch up with the old gang. This is the story of Jace Raylon Turner aka Dr. Hottie, and Holly Phillips. Jace has a lot of irons in the fire, not only is he a doctor, and a guardsman, but he does weekly chores at his mothers farm, to keep his sister, who is recuperating from an accident, from doing them. Holly lives in Denver, Colorado, at least that is where her home, her job, and her brother are at. But since he is joining Doctors Without Borders and she will be going back to Denver soon, what could it hurt, to see where this attraction goes?If you love a good romance with cowboys, military men, sassy females, family, fun, laughter, a little suspense and a whole lot of love, then this series is definitely for you, and I highly recommend this book. And poor Connor, he had me in stitches several times in this one. Be forewarned, you will get attached to the good folks in Harland County, I know I did.

Buying this book was my mom's suggestion as she wanted me to gift her this precise book, owing to its popularity among the experts. I'm a natural person, bath to dinner and hence I pride about my knowledge, but I have been astounded by this book about Frankincense oil. The book has talked to me, rather than being read by me, to emphasise all the historical, ancient and unique uses of the oil. Three weeks into the regime prescribed in the book, I cook healthy and have lost my unnecessary flab of four pounds. Apart from all the millions benefits of the tone, substance and magic in the book, it also lists scholarly studies nad development about Frankincense till date. I'm a Frankincense Girl now, thanks to the book and it has made my incredible healthy, revitalised and strangely revived. Much of the language is convoluted and grammatical errors abound, almost as if written by someone speaking English as a second language. The tone of the information is opinion, rather than researched and documented, so read it as though receiving advice from an acquaintance. It is also only a few pages long.

Beautfiul wedding By Julie Kirby Such an honor being part of Trinity and Slade's Nuptials, if ever a coupled needed reassurance of how deep their love has become, its Trinity and Slade.Loved the build up to the day, how Slade sulked when Trinity decided to live apart, that had to be a hard call to make, was it the right all? No probably not, but glad they had their friends and family around them to see them through it.hey have grown into a truly beautiful couple, Yes! they have had their bumps, but they tactfully - well maybe not, sort them out.Glad there were still references to the other couples, I so hope Conrad and Lexie can work through their personal trust hangups, firstly having to deal with them themselves before talking it through with each other. They area cute couple, and i enjoyed that Mike and Cassandra intervening, I hope it works itself out. I am hoping Lexie now has closure from Jared, so she can deal with her feelings for Conrad.When it matters, the friends are their for each other with advice, on relationships, all the way to collecting enough cake to feed an army!Sounds like Sean and Scarlet have been working through a tough emotional period in their lives, but thankfully seems to be short lived.The Wedding was beautiful, and I'm so happy Trinity and Slade, although both had the same horrifying thoughts, still managed to get to the dame point together.They so deserve their HEA.Can't wait to see how all the other unions develop, also the direction of Asher, Silke and Abby, so touching. I loved Slade and Abby's interaction.So loving the series, and gong through the emotional rides they are all experiencing, glad to be part of it all.

It was sad and yet funny to see both Spade and Trinity have their doubts....their love is so strong you just knew they would get past it and go ahead with the wedding. It is great to see Conrad and Lexie getting closer....they fall more in love without ever admitting it to each other. I also loved how everything was not exactly perfect...the whole cake incident was just hilarious.

But the wedding was so beautiful, all the speeches were beautiful. I loved them and cried at all them. I am so glad scarlet wasn't up to anything bad. I wish lexie ex husband would just stop a nd I wish that Lexie and Conrad would just get together. Did Thomas go to the wedding? What about Clementine and Ward?

Having spent sometime in the Kimberly's you brought me right back to that time. Loved the characters and can't wait to read more. I now live in the USA and now long to see that red dirt again.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Couldn't Put Down By Anne P. I devoured all 3 books in one day. The story was gripping and I was so anxious to get to the end. I love a strong, silent hero like Colin and Allie was suprisingly strong in spite of the hell she'd been through. She easily could have been written as a weak, spineless character, but she had so much heart and she did the best she could for herself. I also loved how she never gave up on Colin.SPOILER: The only reason I didn't give this book 5 stars was because I wanted a little more time happy time with Colin and Allie. Once he finally opened up to her I would have loved to see them spending time with Bailey and just enjoying themselves. I wouldn't have minded an epilogue either, but hopefully we'll see these characters again when we get Shelly's story.

A lot of college fighting, drugs, etc. Poor amateurish writing and story line like this was the writer's first novel. And the seriously over use of the title word 'Fierce' kind of clinched that concept for me, like the author thought we wouldn't be able to connect the title without her over using the word in the book.

When I first began this final installment of the ROUGH, HARD, FIERCE trilogy, I figured I’d read a couple of chapters and go back to it later. Wrong! I literally couldn’t put this novella down and devoured it in one sitting. FIERCE is a fast- paced page-turner, chock full of intense emotions, and it sure hits the mark!These three connected novellas in the Chicago Underground series have very much been about Allie’s emotional journey, and Ms. Warren did an impressive job of showcasing a teenage rape survivor’s difficult, often arduous, transformation from self-loathing to self-empowerment. When we first met her in ROUGH, she was a downtrodden young single mom who was barely coping, but after facing down unspeakable heartache and danger, and coming out the other side, she finally emerges as a strong, vital, “kick ass” woman who fights hard for those she loves. And, in the process, she finally learns to love and respect herself as well.The suspense arc featuring the Chicago crime syndicate, which has been building throughout the past two books, reaches a fever pitch fairly early in this story, culminating in an explosive showdown where lives--and hearts--are shattered. Perhaps forever? Once memories of the explosive gunshots and fiery inferno slowly fade away, the crux of the story focuses on the emotional fallout of all the betrayals, secrets and lies that the key players have been embroiled in. No one escapes unscathed…especially Allie and Colin. Tensions have been running high for this emotionally-adrift duo since the end of HARD, and when Allie’s “treachery” is fully exposed at the most inopportune time, the rift grows even wider. As eloquently stated in the ms, “Trust was a rare and precious thing, like a jewel” and when it was lost the ramifications were great indeed.There is a lot of restitution that needs to be done to do to repair this couples fractured relationship, but their devotion to each other—and baby Bailey—still binds them together in profound ways. Nonetheless, if you thought a normally reticent Colin was difficult to live with, well that was NOTHING compared to an angry, ticked off Colin. Feeling betrayed by the woman he risked everything for to claim as his own, he licks his wounds for a long, long time. Okay, perhaps TOO long, if I’m being honest. His hurt and disappointment felt so palpable, I found myself quaking right alongside Allie every time he glowered darkly in her direction, or punished her with his stone cold silences. But just when I reached the point when I thought to myself, “Enough is enough, Colin…get over it already!” he’d up and do something so disarmingly sweet or chivalrous that would make me worship him even more than before! Actions definitely speak louder than words where this tough, taciturn hero is concerned, and it was never more apparent than in this book that he'd would always be there to save Allie, to soothe and shelter her and little Bailey. Even when he was being a total jerk!If, for some reason, readers hadn’t already fallen in love with Colin in the first two books, I guarantee they will by the end of this one when we finally learn the heartbreaking truth about the enigmatic loner’s past , his inner torment, and the lengths he’ll go to protect his own. And even though the steam factor is more subdued in this book than the first two installments, Colin and Allie’s pent up desire for each other still churns beneath the surface, and it finally all comes to a head during a hot, heated confrontation that lays everything bare. A gripping full circle moment that is hauntingly reminiscent of how they first met—ultimately paving the way for a HEA that it left me with a big, goofy grin on my face.Although Allie and Colin’s story arc ends here, there is much more to come! Ms Warren provides a nice segue in this book to the WILD, DIRTY, SECRET novellas, featuring Shelly and Detective Luke Cameron’s forbidden romance, and their Chicago Underground story promises to be equally delicious!

By Whitney I have always had a special fascination with characters who exhibit a dark side, especially when these characters’ dark traits form in light of familial strife combined with positive traits like intelligence, protectiveness, and ambition. In other words, I have been looking forward to Robert’s story since we first met him in the series.After reading Saving Persephone, I can say that Robert did not disappoint me. The cruelty and detachment shown through previous books take on a new light when readers are given some insight to his inner processes via his unprecedented relationship with Imogen, the heroine. What resonates with me most about Robert is his prevailing tendency toward self-sacrifice motivated on a surface-level by pragmatism but deeper down by genuine caring for his siblings and step-mother. It was also great to see him lose his famous composure and distance in a few places as he tread the treacherous waters of falling in love.Imogen, the heroine, is different from what we’ve come to expect from a Haberdasher. She’s not a tomboy and she’s not prone to sword play, spy work, or fisticuffs. She’s powerfully and boldly feminine in most respects, even to the extent of having empathic abilities traditionally associated with femininity. Imogen can see the colors of people’s auras and uses the ability to her own ends while remaining too empathetic and sensitive in nature to become truly cutthroat. Robert is a good counter-weight for her because they can battle for control in a heady game of seduction while also balancing each other out.Imogen and Robert’s attraction for each other burns hot from the opening scene. Generally, immediate attraction of this sort doesn’t engage me, but I found the instantaneous lust redeemable because it isn’t one-sided or treated as a primary conflict of the novel. Imogen, unlike many of her ilk as a regency heroine, is more than a match sexually for the wicked and intelligent Robert; she is supremely comfortable with herself and her sexuality, and she pursues her desires using means that enable her to hold her own against Robert’s force of will and super spy powers. :)My main criticism is that I feel Imogen’s aura-reading abilities are what make the relationship between her and Robert possible and that is something I find less engaging in a novel. I was glad that the two did not fall into overused sexual tropes often associated with empath characters, but toward the end it felt some parts of their relationship fell into place too quickly. Sometimes authors seem to introduce characters with empathic abilities as a shortcut or plot device to help readers gain insight to difficult characters. I am not certain to what extent Imogen’s abilities served this purpose in Saving Persephone, but without her gift, the relationship between the hero and heroine would not have flourished as quickly as it did in the novel or come to the same end.For me, the two truly did work as a pairing even as I consciously suspended my disbelief of aura-reading abilities. I was able to remain engaged with the characters and relationships throughout the novel and I genuinely enjoyed the hero and heroine separately as individual characters and together as a couple.I received what the author refers to as an “Advanced Reading Copy for an Honest Review™.” This review is crossposted on Goodreads.

6 of 6 people found the following review helpful. Delightful Addition to the Haberdasher Series By Neith Saving Persephone is Robert Bittlesworth's story and it is great. Lovely, complicated plot with plenty of twists and turns including the reappearance of a very evil man, one of The Four we were introduced to in Athena's Ordeal.Imogen, daughter of a Scottish laird and an American woman who owns a shipping business, has traveled extensively around the world. She has the gift of empathy and is able to read people's emotions. As a consequence she prefers to avoid strong emotional connections. She literally runs into Robert on the street and the two of them are immediately attracted to one another. Robert is a very complex man who has spent many years living in his head, running intelligence operations for the Home Office. Watching their relationship gradually unfold is loads of fun.For me one of the best parts of this book was having an opportunity to spend time with all the main characters from the previous Haberdasher books. Jack and Gideon, Sabre and Quince, George and Casimir are all part of the action and each tell parts of the story from their point of view. Imogen's impressions of each of the three Haberdashers is fascinating because she sees their deeper motivations. I did get the sense Sue London was tying some threads together in this book concerning these ladies before moving on to the next stage in her series.We do learn more about Charlie Bittlesworth in this book and it turns out there is much more to him than meets the eye. Sue is setting the stage for his book after all.

He worked for the Home Office and was the best agent. Then one small run-in with a woman put a hitch in his controlled life.American Imogen Grant had traveled with her mother's shipping company since a child. She had been everywhere and lived her life as she wanted. She loved her freedom and wasn't about to let anyone slow her down. She chose who would be her lover and for how long. Only things went a bit awry when she crossed paths with Robert Bittlesworth.Imogen is a heroine unlike any I've ever met. She is quite unconventional in her life and unique how she can read people. Of course, she does lack those incredible fighting skills like those Haberdashers. Another great edition to this series and as always, I loved seeing characters from the previous books.**Received copy from author for honest review
