From the first chapters, the character of Cyndray both makes us laugh and tugs on our heartstrings as she tries to find her way between family struggles, friends old and new, and her own impulse for trouble. With characters so real I think I might meet them around the corner, delightfully spunky writing, and a probing storyline, Sandra Barnes's debut novel is truly a treat that keeps us rooting for Cyndray all the way to the dramatic finish line. Down-to-earth yet moving, funny and spiritually insightful, Presence of Cyn is a book not to be missed!
0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Wonderful book By R Adams Wow, this book grabbed me right away and woke up the teenager inside of me. I was really captivated by this book. Not only because I ran track when I was in middle and high school, but because it had substance. It showed many of the situations teenagers face on a day to day basis. It was believable. As I read I wanted to keep reading to find out what happened to Cyn. We saw her weaknesses and we also saw her become alive in Christ.I have already been searching the stores for more fiction by Ms. Sandra Barnes and have not found any. I do hope she writes more works of fiction soon.Thank you for the chance to read this book. I was given this book by bookfun.org in exchange for my honest review.

It is an excellent book for teenagers or anyone older who wants to enjoy a good book. Body image, bullying, mental illness, vandalism, family dynamics and faith are all dealt with. I look forward to reading more by this author.I received the book from the Book Club Network in exchange for my honest opinion.
