Death is an enemy which most people fear. We would like to escape it, but we cannot (Heb. 9:27); however, the Lord can take away its sting if we prepare for it. When we properly prepare, “Death is swallowed up in victory” (1 Cor. 15:55).Premillennialism seems to be the dominant view of most religious groups today. The Bible does not support the idea. I have not tried to deal with this subject extensively, but, hopefully, I have introduced some material that will prompt further study by the reader. Heaven is our ultimate goal. By God’s grace and mercy we hope to be there throughout eternity along with every person who reads this book with a Bible in their hand.

About the Author Roger Johnson has served as a minister for over fifty years and currently preaches for the Edgewood Church of Christ in Columbus, GA. He has done short-term mission work in several countries, held gospel meetings in fifteen states, and spoken on several lectureships. He currently serves as an adjunct faculty member at Faulkner University and on the Freed-Hardeman University Advisory Board.

No scary stories or demons or visions of rapture in this author's head. Rather, what I found was a detailed account of what the Bible teaches concerning the end of life for humanity. While Johnson's book lacked an introduction, he got right down to talking about the "End of Life" in the first chapter. He does an adequate job covering the brevity and frailty of life. Throughout the rest of the book he covers topics such as; The End of time, opportunity, waiting, anticipation, the lost and redemption. What you are left with is no guess work in where you will spend eternity. There is no denominational creed or doctrine taught in this book. No graphic photographs to guide you outside the word of God. This work is systematic and needed in a world of misinformation about life after death. Buy this book and you will not regret it. It is not a laborious read, but it is Bible intensive.
