This conversational and easy to understand book will show you how to achieve your goals of perfection, fast and effortlessly. You don’t have to fight against perfectionism or forget about perfection. This book will teach you how to build a life you love by actively benefitting from your natural perfectionist tendencies. You’ve probably learned, like we all did, that once you fix the problems in your life, you’ll be happy. You’ve been spending your time trying to do just that, in hopes of getting to the good part. But the good part never comes or lasts a few short moments. You’ve been disappointed because perfection is so tough to reach and now you’re trying to let it go, to somehow forget about it, only you can’t. Perhaps you’re having trouble deciding what to do or perhaps you’re finding yourself procrastinating the things you once loved. You see others enjoy themselves without this need for “perfect” so you’ve been blaming it all on perfectionism.

Positively Perfect busts all the myths and challenges about perfectionism.

This book tells you everything you need to know about how to shift your focus from problem-oriented to solution-oriented, and shows you how to embrace your perfectionism so you can create and enjoy the life you want.

What would your life look like if you got to reach your goals of perfection?

And what if I told you it’s a lot easier to reach for perfection and attain it, provided you keep your focus on what’s good in your life? This may sound counterproductive, especially if you’ve been trying out the “Perfectionism is bad, I have to manage it” for a while. That’s why Positively Perfect provides you the basis to shift your perspective:

Review "Claudia Svartefoss explains the challenges of defining perfection as a "flawless state of being" and has developed a new and more empowered perspective. Most perfectionists struggle and feel this personality trait has negatively impacted their life. Ms. Svartefoss teaches you how to stop feeling bad and utilize your perfectionistic tendencies to create a perfect life by achieving your highest goals. It's the antidote for mediocrity and for the negativity around perfectionism." - Shawn Achor, happiness researcher and NY Times bestselling author of The Happiness Advantage   "This book does for Perfectionists what Susan Cain's Quiet did for Introverts. Highly recommended." - Kevin Kruse, NY Times Bestselling Author & Leadership Expert   "I feel that I've come away from reading this book with a self-esteem boost." - Holly Hall   "Through her stories and examples and camaraderie/understanding that leaped from the page, Claudia Svartefoss carefully took the time to unfold for me how I got to the point I did with my perfectionism and most importantly, that I wasn't stuck." - Hillary Tubin   "It fills you with energy enthusiastic and lures you away from the risky depression-like symptoms we perfectionists feel when things don't happen just the way we want them!!" - Francisco Serrano, President & CEO @ 121   "Claudia creatively puts a completely new spin on a topic that most of us thought we had formed a clear opinion on." - Barry Watson, Author, Rock Solid Relationship   "If you've ever had perfectionist thrown at you as an insult, please read this book." - Shaun Griffiths, Practice Manager

I love how the author encourages you to see life in a positive inspiring light. She enables you to understand that having perfectionist qualities is a good thing and that you’re actually more likely to be successful in whatever you set out to achieve because you don’t expect anything less of yourself. Reminding us that success and happiness is our choice if we want it through focusing on the positives. When you experience your life focusing on the positives, it brings with it more happiness. I love how the author explains the effects our beliefs have on our lives and dictate whether we feel happy or not and how we can change our beliefs simply by shifting our focus. She explains that we all have a choice to alter our belief from one of shortage to one of abundance, simply by choosing to focus on experiencing abundance. The information throughout this book inspires you to focus on building positive momentum, as opposed to negative. This feels natural throughout each chapter and the author’s message of seeing abundance and opportunity as opposed to negativity and uncertainty really resonates with me. The author allows you to see what is possible when focusing on positivity and is easy to relate to throughout the book. I thoroughly recommend reading ‘Positively Perfect’ and know that you will glad you did.

By Hillary I've been doing a lot of soul-searching lately trying to make sense 1) why I must obsess over every little detail and 2) why I just can't follow the motto "done is better than perfect" like so many around me. Maybe this soul-searching is because I have an important project due soon and I'm procrastinating, but when my old, familiar "beat myself up about being a perfectionist" routine started playing in my head, I knew it was time to stop the madness. So I did what I do best in crisis moments like this- search books on Amazon Kindle Store just to see if maybe someone out there wrote one for me- I'm a sucker for serendipity. So I typed in perfectionist, scrolled down the list scanning the titles and covers, but nothing jumped out at me until... Positively Perfect by Claudia Svartefoss. Why? Because her book promised something I didn't even know I needed until I read these words on her cover, "how to love and utilize your perfectionist qualities." See, I've always just tried to cope with or overcome my perfectionism like many of the other books on the list professed they could help me do. But I never once thought about loving and utilizing perfectionism. Could it really be possible to see this annoying trait in a positive way? But in case Claudia Svartefoss was onto something, and since the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result, I broke out of my cope/overcome/beat self up mold and purchased her book. And boy am I glad that I did- thank you serendipity! From the first chapter I learned things about perfectionism I never could imagine, and by the time I finished, I can definitely say, without a doubt, I now think about perfectionism in a whole new way. I'M A PERFECTIONIST! I can actually say it now and smile (four days ago- not possible). This book showed me how to embrace this part of me that I've been trying to eliminate since I was a kid.Through her stories and examples and camaraderie/understanding that leaped from the page, Claudia Svartefoss carefully took the time to unfold for me how I got to the point I did with my perfectionism and most importantly, that I wasn't stuck. Now some of the terms she used to describe how to get unstuck were unfamiliar to me- and maybe they will be for you too- but not to worry, a well-organized glossary is included in the back. It was so helpful, especially when reading the first few chapters. But by the time I got to the end, which I highly recommend you do for an optimum experience, I not only understood what she was saying while I read, I was using the wisdom in my daily life. My only regret with this book...that I didn't purchase it sooner. If you or anyone you know is a struggling perfectionist, this book is a must-read!

There is a deep understanding of the emotional problems perfectionism can cause if it is not recognised and accepted. This book deals out positive advice by the shovelful, on how to live, embrace and benefit from your own imbedded perfectionist characteristics. I honestly wish this book had been written 30 years ago. I know it would have helped me then, it's sure giving me a new insight into how I can benefit from my "Gift" now, and to better understand those around me that I also recognise as Perfectionist. If you've ever had perfectionist thrown at you as an insult, please read this book.
