I loved the characters in this story and really liked the way the author developed the story. It is a story of hope, change and growth. I loved it and will definitely be looking for more books by this author! Would recommend to friends and family.

By nanakaren For those of us with shattered childhoods, this lovely story gives us the hope that we all hold in our hearts. The hope that things will turn out for the better. That when we try our best that best is rewarded. That's not the case in this story and quite frankly it's not usually the case in real life. However, this story tells us not to have a pity party but to trust that God has a plan for us in God's time. I cried at the end.......
3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Sweet story By Diva Orphans together they bonded. Cleve promised to protect Mary always when they were children. But Cleve was adopted and taken to Montana. Poor Mary ended up as a child laborer in a laundry where she was kept hidden. When she finally leaves there she volunteers to be a mail order bride. The groom is her Cleve but does not recognise her and does not want a wife. A sweet story with a happy ending.
