By John Planchon Ms. McGalliard's literary tome is filled with stark revelations that should scare the bejeezus out of her intended audience (teenage girls). Young women will wonder if they too will encounter the same drama and emotional scars as they transition from their adolescent innocence into womanhood.As if that weren’t scary enough, the author unflinchingly details the next transition into middle age and the frightening ravages of menopause. With little left to the imagination, young female readers discover how their bodies will become ravaged by time as they develop embarrassing facial hair and must also endure the dreaded hot flashes associated with becoming an “older woman”.One unintended consequence is all male readers will appreciate their own gender much more.

The author really explores the timeline of a young teenage girl into a mature woman and all of the trials and tribulations that one experiences.The author is humorous yet candid as she shares the most intimate moments of her life. The easy read really captures the audience and sends a very strong message about the decisions we make as we go through this tough journey called life.
