It was a time travel between the 1700's and current day. I loved the way the story played out and there's a wonderful twist towards the end you wouldn't see coming. I've written 3 different sentences explaining my views but then thought it gave some of the book away and backspaced so instead what I will say is: sometimes the soul searches out its perfect mate, regardless of the time it takes.
